powerboat academy Charity Poker Run Postponed until Spring 2010
This fun day out starts at the launch site, where teams will gather for a short briefing, before setting of on the first leg of the Run. It really doesn’t matter what boat you have, from a Jet Ski to a small ‘Gin Palace’, all are welcome! !
Winning is not based on the size of your boat or how fast it goes, it’s a game of chance and a fantastic, fun day out on the water for all!
In short, boats 'cruise' from point to point (distances of just a couple of miles at a time) where on arrival they must carefully collect an envelope from the ‘Card Boat’ at each of the five ‘Check Points’.
Part way through the day we stop off for lunch at an organised venue. All envelopes are then kept until the Evening Party! The entry price will include lunch plus food and entertainment back at The Ship Inn (Pentewan) for an evening of more frivolities ashore!

All proceeds will go to a chosen charity, which will of course be maritime themed!

After the official launch of The Powerboat Academy, the date for our first every ‘Lady’s Day’ will be advertised.
Sometimes we all feel pressure when trying something new infront of men, so with this idea in mind we will be inviting women of all ages and levels of experience along to an open day which offers an introduction to powerboating.
Whether you have never been on a boat in your life and are looking for a challenge, or if you have been quite happy to let your
other half taken control and now want the chance to show him how its done, this day will allow you to do just that!
Its strictly GIRLS ONLY, even the instructors! And if you do get the bug we can help you take things to the next level with courses,
tuition and qualifications, without the interference of any men!
